Gov't Ineptitude and USA For Sale

You know what I don't understand?  Why the US government is so fucking stuck on themselves and bitching amongst one another when they are supposed to be working for the good of the country.  I am liberal, but I'm pissed at both sides here.

The democrats need to unify.  The problem is they are all free-thinkers, which is great, but at some point you must tow the party line to a certain extent.  The nuances of any issue can be explained and argued to death, but you need to pull your head out of your ass and look at the big picture.  All the infighting and bickering is killing the party's image and as a result, Scott Brown filled Ted Kennedy's seat in Massachusetts.

Republicans are big picture folks in-so-much that they see the grand design and stick to it.  If you are a republican senator or congressman and don't agree with the overarching political agenda of the party, you don't speak up.  I don't condone this in all instances of course, everyone should say their piece, but it is as though republicans convene in private, agree on a stance and then show a united front in public.

The thing that irks me most about republicans since Obama has taken over is that no matter what he says they go against.  Much of what Obama wants to do you may not agree with, but you cannot say no to programs that will help the nation just because he is a democrat and you're a republican.

The people of this country elect you to make decisions in their interest.  This polarized version of Washington is really starting to piss everyone off, nothing is getting done and that is bad for the country.  Democrats and republicans alike are proving the ineptitude and ineffectiveness of US government.  Reach across the fucking aisle and get stuff done.

This is not about donkeys vs. elephants - this is about the United States of America and your nation needs you. Quit acting like playground nemesis and start earning your paychecks.

By the way, do something about this supreme court decision to allow corporations to spend as much on political campaigns as they like or pretty soon none of you will be in there and some foreign company will own the USA.  The passage of that law could be the beginning of the end of democracy in America.  I realize that sounds gloom and doom, but corporate interests practically run everything already and if they are allowed to spend unlimited amounts of cash to get what they want, they will.

Basically the supreme court has just put the government up for sale.  I'm pretty sure there's nowhere in the Constitution that encourages such practice.  In my opinion the 5 that voted for it are guilty of treason.
